I cannot recommend Sarah & her courses highly enough.
Sarah is a patient and nurturing teacher. I was very nervous as I had no knowledge of upholstery. I was so pleased with the results and never thought I could produce a chair and footstool with such a professional finish. Sarah’s knowledge and ability to instruct in a way you can understand is excellent. I’ve learnt so much and have booked my 3rd course in August.
Look forward to seeing you in the summer to make ‘coir clouds’.

I chose to do a day course with Sarah as she is registered with the AMUSF and having recently completed the AMUSF Diploma myself, I recognised the level of proficiency required by Sarah to be accredited with them.
I went with the specific aim to practice traditional upholstery techniques and found her to be informative, attentive and highly professional.
I enjoyed the experience so much I then booked and completed a traditional lampshade making course with her and would not hesitate in attending another course.
Thanks so much.

If you could give 10 stars I would.

After spending two days with Sarah on her traditional
lampshade making course, I was inspired to learn the art of
upholstery. I have completed a number of 5 week courses since
July 2017. I feel that I am now ready to embark on a career in
upholstery. I will be returning for further expert tuition as my business progresses. Many thanks as always.

This was a perfect introduction to upholstery and so enjoyable.
Sarah’s teaching skills are very clear and easy to understand, I wasn't expecting to finish my chair, the day went so quickly and I was surprised at how much I learnt.

I first met Sarah when she upholstered a chair for me and was impressed by her professionalism. She is a really good teacher, has endless patience and the ability to convey knowledge in an understandable way. The two days were great fun and I felt the lampshade I left with was a really good standard.

Fantastic workshop!
It was my very first time trying upholstery but I quickly got into it thanks to Sarah’s patient and passionate guidance. I’ve learned so much and I hope to continue with some more projects in the future.

Sarah is a brilliant teacher.
I learned a huge amount and made great progress with my project. It was so interesting too to see the other projects that people were working on, and pick up useful tips about other kinds of task. The setting is lovely and the cake excellent too."

What an excellent course!!
I loved everything about it! Sarah greeted me with a big smile and was so welcoming when I went yesterday. She has a lovely friendly working atmosphere in her workroom and it is a small class so everyone gets lots of expert help from Sarah. She is a great teacher, so clear with her instructions and so positive about your work. Just be warned, you will definitely want to go back and book more days!! I will be....

I am a complete novice and Sarah has been so patient, and kind, her immense knowledge, calm and clear explanations and instructions, as well as her positive and sunny manner have helped me to achieve an immense amount on my first foray into the complex world of upholstery. I have so enjoyed it and will certainly be returning for more.
